Saturday, May 7th at the Fairfield, was the Rio Blanco Historical Society’s and White River Museum’s 2nd Annual Pioneer Treasures Show! With the addition of several exhibit booths selling antiques and collectible items, there was a great turn out. The public also brought their treasures to be evaluated with one or two indicating extreme value.

For those of you who did not get a firm identification and value, please contact Ellene for further communication.

The proceeds were applied to the historical society’s debt on This I Remember book loan (the historical documented book series of local events and stories from those who live here).

Thanks to all who turned out to make this a success!

A post-meeting to evaluate this effort brimmed with enthusiasm and ideas for the 3rd Annual Pioneer Treasures Show. One aspect that will be strengthened is bringing in top appraisers, hopefully even maybe some from the real Antiques Roadshow! Also, outside antique exhibits will be added and historical presentations. Make plans now to be a part of next year’s event!
